Java Root is a lighter wood than Teak or Elm, making it the perfect choice if you want a brighter, airier aesthetic for your living or dining spaces.

Our Java Root tables and chairs are all crafted from sustainably sourced materials. The roots are excavated in Eastern Indonesia, where local communities grow, salvage and reclaim materials for production to support themselves.

Root systems are often left behind as they are more challenging to excavate than traditional lumber. This leaves swathes of unusable space and prevents regeneration. By working with local communities, we can use these materials to provide beautiful, organic, sustainably sourced furniture that captures the imagination and is a wonderful conversation piece to intrigue your guests and add a touch of character to your home.
