Our beautiful and striking Teak root dining tables are manufactured and handcrafted from reclaimed teak roots. Each root is completely unique including all the detailing, making this product completely bespoke and eye-catching. This table would make the perfect focal point for any room in your house. The great aspect of roots is nothing is wasted and it creates space for new teak trees to be planted, making it one of our most sustainable products out there. The roots have been excavated out of the ground from The National Indonesian Eco Programme which encourages the regrowth of forests and promotes sustainable livelihoods for local people. These tables are very similar to the one found on BBC's Saturday Kitchen television show on Saturday mornings.

This root would comfortably seat 4/6 people and this root is paired with our new Kubu Wicker Scandi Armchairs. They are a very sustainable option and have been manufactured with the re-afforested mahogany framework and covered in an attractive natural Kubu grey wicker making them extremely robust and stable.

The glass we use is toughened safety glass that is 10mm thick with bevelled edges, which makes this glass top extremely heavy. It simply rests on top of the root and is supported very safely by the structure of the root base underneath. If required, we can provide small rubber dots or suckers to place between the glass and the root to add some extra friction and peace of mind, but most people find these unnecessary and detract from the table's natural look. We swear by our professional glass cleaner that we use to make our glass sparkling clean. It also acts as a sanitiser and can be used on all kitchen surfaces to cut through grease, whilst eradicating germs.

Our teak roots can be used indoors or outdoors, if kept outdoors the teak root will weather to a silvery/grey colour if left untreated which will not affect the structural integrity of the teak root. To keep your furniture in top condition, use our Briwax natural beeswax. With a clear finish, it can be applied to any surface quickly and easily to clean, polish and protect your wooden furniture against stains and scratches. Suitable for our Reclaimed teak, elm, pine, alba, or oak furniture Briwax is the ultimate universal furniture protection for raw untreated & already treated wood.

Washing Instructions -

We advise hand-washing the linen covers in warm water and rinsing by hand, to remove any excess water spin cushion cover in the washing machine. Finally, add cover to the cushion when damp.
