We are very honoured and proud to be able to offer a range of beautiful lamps by very talented Cornishman David Raine who has bridged a charming blend of natural coast living and contemporary sophistication within his designs of lamps and candlesticks.

His love affair with the coast and the sea was developed from childhood, and he is sure there is salt in his blood – salt is a theme coursing through much of his work. The ocean and the ocean sky act as his inspiration and he feels very fortunate to each day be a part of this amazing world. He feels privileged to be doing something that he feels so passionate about and his dream is to convey that passion to you through his amazing work.

David developed a new and unique way of hand moulding stones using crushed stone, lime and polymer and these hand made and hand-washed stones became the basis of the natural and sustainable coast theme lamps.  This method is bespoke to his products and there is no one else who has discovered this amazing marriage of particals.  David loves combining unlikely materials – playing with people’s expectations of what is usual in lamps and lighting.  His lamps have a clear sculptural quality and he derives his inspiration from outrageous Atlantic storms and tanquil summer blue seas and he brings the very essence of these elements into the interior of clent's homes with his amazing products.
