Our Douglas Fir childrens picnic benches are manufactured from British grown timber and processed in the most environmentally friendly methods available.   All the logs are from Devon and Cornwall FSC certified woodlands and are processed at our Westcountry sawmill.   The finished picnic bench is treated with wood preservative, under controlled conditions by vacuum pressure technology using the latest environmentally safe "Tanalith E" from Arch Timber Protection.  Tanalith E treated timber can be used with confidence for all applications in Hazard class 1-4, internal and external, above and below ground use.  Does not need to be treated at all and can be left outside all Winter and will last a long long time - REQUIRES NO MAINTENANCE.  Please also see our Traditional Picnic bench and disabled picnic bench for matching range. Great for goverment contractors who demand a quality, longlasting and no maintenance bench.  We also supply garden seats in three sizes - see benches page.

All the sharp edges and corners are rounded over for safety and all the timbers are planed and individually “Tanalised”.  These benches are held together with stainless steel fixings.
