A very stylish sustainable furniture set comprising 1m reclaimed teak pedestal table with 4 high backed elegantly styled reclaimed teak chairs.  This stunning circular dining set really is appealing to the eye and comes with a fine wax finish.  This reclaimed teak furniture set is manufactured from reclaimed teak which has been salvaged from the ruins of old Colonial buildings in West Java, Indonesia - coupled with excellent and traditional joinery skills.

Some very simple table assembly

Teak which has been reclaimed is generally more rustic textured and has naturally occuring defects through age and use.  Our wood has been sourced from Colonial buildings where the timber has aged and stabilised over many years enabling it to easily cope with the general rigours of every day use.   There has been no attempt to disguise repairs to naturally occuring defects and in our opinion this only adds to the rustic charm.  In a modern centrally heated dry environment minor cracks or longitudinal shakes can occur in the timbers these are only cosmetic and in no way affect the structural integrity of the product and should be accepted as part of the character of the furniture.  By purchasing reclaimed products you eliminate the need to cut down living trees - which helps to preserve natural forests and protect the environment.   Old teak is a rapidly diminishing resource and this bespoke hand crafted reclaimed furniture will not only hold its value but be the collectable for the future.  This is an investment.
